The Winter Solstice Festival "冬至" (dong zhi) is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Chinese and other East Asians during the Dongzhi solar term (winter solstice) on or around December 22 when sunshine is weakest and daylight shortest. It occurs on Friday, December 21, 2012.
Dongzhi Festival is also a time for the family to get together.One activity that occurs during these get togethers is the making and eating of "汤圆" (tang yuan) or balls of glutinuous rice, which symbolize reunion.
This morning, i woke in 9am to help my mom to make tangyuan. Seriously sleepy that time, not enough of sleep. Sleep for 6hours maybe. =(
